You can calculate the water by parts of even units such as litres or gallons...and add acid.....it is always safer to add acid to water anyways...so do you calculations first....and add as you go.
Keep the acid and water to even, measureable ratios...
follow the ratio should you add more water...
set the ratios equal to eachother and keep acid as x....
cross multiply and solve for x.....
add that much acid...
