Which is the worth washing machine?semi automatic or fully auto matic?

In India fully automatic washing machines wastes the precious natural resource - water. Much water is required to wash your clothes. I used both but I like semi-automatic as they are maintenance free, use less water/soap and works with ease.Which is the worth washing machine?semi automatic or fully auto matic?
Obviously fully washing automatic machines are better.

Because in Semi Automatic, manual intervention is required to shift clothes from washer to dryer.

Fully automatic washing machines are comparatively costlier.

Washing under auto hood gone wild! I broke my Jeep?

I went to the car wash on a few days ago, and washed under the hood while it was running. I didn't cover the distributor, alternator, etc. I removed the sludge from the valve cover so that I could replace the valve cover gasket without such a mess and went buck wild. Under the hood is clean, but when I drove off the engine RPM went up from the usual 1500-200 RPM while driving to up to 5000 RPM with the odometer reading 25-35mph. Also the engine started to lurch and sputter. I was able to drive it 20 miles until it started to die. I left it for 3 days returned and tried the engine once more. It started and the check engine light was on. I was able to limp home with it wanting to hesitate almost all the way home and at times sounding like it was on the verge of backfiring. When I inspected the distributor cap, no crack, or carbon tracks. Should I just do a complete tune up? What did I really do to my 4x4 95 Jeep Cherokee. Straight 6 engine. Didn't notice anything wrong with it before this incident and the check engine light was never on prior to this in my 5 years owning it. Tuned it up last year and it had oil on one cylinder...Help! Any sites to help me diagnose? Washing under auto hood gone wild! I broke my Jeep?
You've likely gotten water into the electrical connectors for the sensors. Try disconnecting them, letting it sit overnight to dry. Then apply dielectic (nonconducting) grease to each connector to keep this from happening again, and try restarting.Washing under auto hood gone wild! I broke my Jeep?
Go to Radio Shack (or another electronics store) and buy several cans of contact cleaner. Spray Every site where their are electrical connections (disconnect connectors first) try to avoid spraying where there are any lubricants because you will have to re-lubricate. Let it all dry, reconnect and try it then.

well i really have no idea iv never heard of such a thing but i would guess if it has E.F.I. maybe that got shorted out somewhere
  • Auto clothes washing machine question?

Does the temperature change when you spin the temp indicator while is working ?

I mean, I am wondering if without selecting stop and change the temp, I can change the temp if it do it meanwhile is washing.

What's your experience? I don't have a light indicator that I can check if the temperature changes.

Thanks in advance!Auto clothes washing machine question?
the previous answerer is half correct. There are all-in-one model washer/dryers that just use cold water run through an inline water heater within the machine. They are common in Europe where space and cost is at a premium and hot water outlets for washing machines were not thought of in 1893 when the apartment was built.

Adjusting the temperatures on these machines will have the same effect. If the washing machine has already filled, the only thing you'll be able to adjust is the rinse temperature.Auto clothes washing machine question?
If its a top loader, you can just test the water with your hand while it is coming in. http://appliancequickfix.com/ has some good information on washers.
You can change the water temp. any time you want. If it is an electronic touch control model, you have to program it in before you press the start button.
If you mean after the machine has finished filling and begins agitation, then no. Washers do not have water heaters like a dishwasher does, so they vary the wash temperature by mixing hot and cold water. So once it is full, you can't change it without draining and starting over. If you start it then immediately realize you wanted hot instead of cold or vice versa, you can usually change it (depending on the washer - electronic pushbutton models are less likely to allow in-cycle changes) but you will wind up with water that is warm either way.

How to maintain 5% mix acid (61%HNO3 & 49%HF) concentration during auto tank washing?

The tank will be diluted with water along the process causing the concentration to reduce. How to maintain 5% mix acid (61%HNO3 %26amp; 49%HF) concentration during auto tank washing?
You can calculate the water by parts of even units such as litres or gallons...and add acid.....it is always safer to add acid to water anyways...so do you calculations first....and add as you go.

Keep the acid and water to even, measureable ratios...

follow the ratio should you add more water...

set the ratios equal to eachother and keep acid as x....

cross multiply and solve for x.....

    add that much acid...

Sorry for going auto on everyone am having problem with 99 dodge dakota miss firing after washing motor please?

Have put on new plugs, wires, cap and rotor but still get miss fire code. The codes are for pistons 5 and 6 . I have plenty of spark and I think the injector is putting gas in all 6 holes . Is also pumping out a-lot of smoke that is white but not from radiator . Doesn't have the sweat smell .Can someone help me PLEASE am running out of ideas . Thanks in advance .Sorry for going auto on everyone am having problem with 99 dodge dakota miss firing after washing motor please?
White smoke indicates brake fluid. Is the vacuum hose for the brake booster mounted around near number 5 and 6? If so then you have a master cylinder leak into the brake booster diaphragm.Sorry for going auto on everyone am having problem with 99 dodge dakota miss firing after washing motor please?
It might help to pull the injector and any other electric connectors apart and spray them with WD-40. If you have some dielectric grease, put it in there before reconnecting.

Which is trouble-free durable semi-auto washing machine in 6 to 7K price tag - GODREJ/SAMSUNG/LG/WHIRLPOOL?

No dealer explains the complete features of the washing machines. No dealer is transparent. He conceals many important negative aspects of the machine. At times, he also misguides about the performance and warranty. The after-sales service is not as promised and therefore irritable. The dealer pushes that one which gives him the best commission. Hence, users may kindly share their experiences.Which is trouble-free durable semi-auto washing machine in 6 to 7K price tag - GODREJ/SAMSUNG/LG/WHIRLPOOL?

A front loader while more expensive up front will be more efficient over the long haul. You can wash larger loads using less water, electricity, and detergent, but a lot of people can't afford the initial price tag.

I went to a car wash and recieved damage to the auto ---?

the people that owned the carwash has over 100 other washes. they wont pay so i contacted the bbb. my question is they are incoporaited. if i take them to small claims court. who do i make the paper work out to? what do i take to court. if they dont show how do i collect.I went to a car wash and recieved damage to the auto ---?
The other poster who said 'you are responsible for the damage because you gave them the keys' or whatever is an idiot.

If they damaged the car, then they should have to pay for it. I would start by talking to a lawyer, and put together a lawsuit to get your money.

If the damage wasn't too severe, and the lawyer would cost too much, then maybe try the small claims court route, take pictures of the damage (bring some 'before' pics if you have them to show that it wasn't always like that). It can be hard to prove unless you have a witness or something to say that it was fine when it went in, and damaged when it came out.I went to a car wash and recieved damage to the auto ---?
Do NOT contact your insurance company!! If you do, they will pay for your damages (assuming you have full coverage) but your rates will probably go up. Even if they dont, you will have a loss on your record which is not good.

See if the car wash will give your their insurance info. Then file a claim. If they wont give it to you, take the car wash to small claims court. Their insurance company will come to represent them in court. You will need to prove that the car wash did the damage to your car though, and that will be difficult.

If all else fails, contact your insurance co..but dont wait more than 30 days to tell them... or at least dont tell the insurance co that you waited more than 30 days. They may deny the claim if you do.

    Good luck!

PS.. that chick above me doesnt know what she's talking about. If they are taking possesion of your car and providing a service that you are paying for... they ARE responsible for your car. Maybe they may not be responsible for antennas and aftermarket stuff... but they are definately responsible for damage that they cause to your vehicle.
I don't think you would win. You are giving them permission to wash your car and send it thru the car wash when you hand over the keys and pay. You are responsible for any damage. Your insurance should cover it.
Get a lawyer, and sue them in small claims court. It used to be that small claims was a court you could go to without a lawyer, but the last time I was there everyone had a lawyer. The car wash is responsible for the damage. As for who to sue, let the lawyer worry about it. If you want to do it without a lawyer, then sue the business by name, (Joe's Car wash. eg.) Take pictures of the damage and have 3 estimates to repair the damage. I know from experience.
I would contact your insurance company. They can pay your calim and then subrogate against the car wash. Talk to a claims rep.

Do you think those spray-on/rinse-off wax in auto car washes really work?

Has anyone seen any REAL difference on their cars (like water beading up) after driving through one of these wax washes? I always just use the basic wash because I'm quite skeptical that anything sprayed on and rinsed off could possibly stick to the car at all.Do you think those spray-on/rinse-off wax in auto car washes really work?
I've been driving a long while. From my experience, yes, the wax from those sprayers will bead water. However, it doesn't last long, and if you get it on the car's glass, it leaves a film that takes a while to get off.

While I don't work for any company that makes waxes, over the years, I've tried a number of products, from Mothers Gold, to Nu-Finish. I've learned that no product can really guarantee that it will truly last a year unless your car is garage kept 90% of the time. I used to love the Nu-Finish commercials, but after trying it on an older car that was kept outside most of the time, I didn't notice enough difference to justify their claims. For a while though it did look nice.

Currently, I do a great wash and wax on my car every spring and fall. Right now I use Meguiar's Gold liquid wax (shake the bottle when you use it though,) and then once or twice a month, I touch it up with the Meguiar's NXT Spray Wax. This is a nice touch up wax that sprays on a dry car and gives it a few weeks of looking like a fresh wax job again. It's easy to use, and is found about everywhere, Wal-Mart, AutoZone, Advance, etc.

Another good line that I like and my father swears by is the Eagle One Nano-tech stuff. It looks great and goes on easy. I find that it wears off way too fast for my tastes though. I don't want to have to re-wax my car (even if it is easy) every 3-4 weeks. I want to be able to just hit the rough spots and be done with it. This is also easy to find just about anywhere.

A detailer once told me he used to use motor oil (new) on his cars and buff that in before a coat of wax. This ensured a great shine, and good water beading.

Regardless of what you choose to use, I don't recommend the car wash waxes. They don't last long, and they are a pain to get off of your car's glass surfaces.Do you think those spray-on/rinse-off wax in auto car washes really work?
They do not work, especially a drive thru car wash. You are actually stripping away your car's wax as all the brushes on the automatic car wash are spinning at high speeds and can eventually dull your paint.

Please try not to take your car to the automatic car washes. They do more harm than good.
Sure they work, it's more of how well they work. It's a thin coat to say the least, and will probably only last a week or two. Where if you do a good wax job by hand it can last a couple months.
No there not that good ,I gree with you.
Doesn't last more than a few days.

There is no replacement for good old fashioned hand waxing in the driveway. And even that lasts only a couple months.

Hi i want know the tecnology for auto matic wash basin tap?

its a sensor which detects any motion under the tap and lets the water flow. the moment you take ur hand from under the tap the sensor detect this and the tap is turned off.Hi i want know the tecnology for auto matic wash basin tap?
Just search the internet and you will find the complete technology to setup a manufacturing plant. The concept may look simple but don't try to design one with some IR sensors and retrofit in a home wash basin. It will never work. There is a huge difference between a school lab demo and a finished product from a hundred million dollar MNC. Just import the complete automatic faucet from China and install it. Visit this site and folow the links. You will become an expert on this technology.

  • Can youu go through an auto car wash with convertable?

top up of course... i just got a convertable, so i dont know much about the care of the tops... and i was wondering if theyd be ok to go through a auto car wash before i just went through it. and its not one of those crappy car washes with just sprayers. its got brushed and those floppy things that drag across your car... you know??

and is there anything else i should know about convertable tops? its one of those soft tops, not t or hard or anything...

thanks! Can youu go through an auto car wash with convertable?
Soft top convertibles tend to leak like a sieve under the high pressure spray of a car wash and it has been known for the top to actually rip under the extreme high pressure jets some automatic washes use.

I recommend that you do not take the chance! Can youu go through an auto car wash with convertable?
Wash your car by hand. Power washers are bad for the top and the mechanical scrubbers will destroy it. I doubt that the car wash manager would let you go through the wash. There are water repellents made for the top to keep it in good condition and help keep it waterproof.
You can, but ask them to shut off the blowers at the end. My father in law took his through all the time and didn't, the top leaks like crazy now. That puts a lot of pressure on the seals.
Yes, but you should ask your local car dealer.

I have bought a semi-auto washing machine and the capacity is is 5kgs I do not know how to get the capacity?

right and if anyone has a idea about soap to use for my coloured dresses. I do not want to use omo because it will fade them. ThanksI have bought a semi-auto washing machine and the capacity is is 5kgs I do not know how to get the capacity?
There are lots of laundry detergents that say they are suitable for coloureds. Use one of those and don't have the water any hotter than hand heat. It can also help to wash the dresses inside out, I don't know why.

Do you have any bathroom scales or can you borrow ? If so, stand on the scale and weigh yourself. Then pick up armfuls of laundry until the scale registers 5kg more than it did before. Then you can get to know roughly how much laundry weighs 5kg. It isn't critical but if you overload the machine you won't get an efficient wash. Remember 5kg of towels will take up less room than 5kg of sheets, so you could try weighing yourself holding both sorts in turn. But if you can't do this you won't go far wrong if you don't fill the drum more than three quarters full.

How do I recover the costs of damage to my new car created by a local auto wash business?

My factory rims are considerably gouged. The auto wash manager implied that the wash wasn't responsible, due to the force required to create such gouges. I'm the kind of person who notices each new stone chip, no one else drives the car, and the damage did not happen while I was driving it. The manager and I reviewed the suspected point of impact together and found the plastic guarding broken off in one area ( a lot of force required for that). I still don't have the official word, but I suspect they won't take responsibility. What should I do?How do I recover the costs of damage to my new car created by a local auto wash business?
Find out if they're bonded or insured which any good business would be. Then submit a claim under that coverage. Deal with the management and ';small claims court'; will work if you have a good case and good proof (photos, records etc) The only way around ';their word against yours'; is to force them to inspect the car before it goes through the car wash and have them sign a statement that they saw no damage. This is what you do at a car rental agency when you sign the contract. You have to go out and look the car over to make sure there's no damage before you rent it.How do I recover the costs of damage to my new car created by a local auto wash business?
Most car washes that I have frequented have a sign that states they are not responsible for damage to tires and rims due to interference problems with custom/aftermarket alloy wheels. You can try small claims court but don't expect much if you cannot prove the damage was deliberate. I also find it kind of strange that someone who cares as much for their car would subject it to a commercial carwash facility. My work truck goes though the 'wash' but NEVER my car.
first thing the car wash is not responible for most damage most of the time sorry but you should hand was any car and little chance of the washer messing up your wheels... move on wash by hand
If the first 2 answers fail to satisfy you take them to Small Claims Court

Can a hot & cold fill auto washing machine be converted to cold fill only?

Connect both hot/cold hoses with tee connector found in plubing dept. of your local hardware store. This will then connect to the cold water supply. You will then only receive cold into the washer. Or use a ';Y' hose end and attatch to the cold water supply then attach hoses hot/cold to each side You don't want to just disconnect hot water, this could result into a backflow issue that would flood your washroom. You do not want to just turn off the hot water. When your auto wash goes for a hot cycle no water will is selected. You would miss a wash or rinse cyle not completeing the wash process also possibly damaging the machine. Can a hot %26amp; cold fill auto washing machine be converted to cold fill only?
Turn off the hot water tap feeding into the machine. Then it fills with only cold water. No fuss, no muss. Can a hot %26amp; cold fill auto washing machine be converted to cold fill only?
    turn the hot faucet off
Simply turn off the hot water connection. It will fill with cold and work no problem.
Yes, get a 'Y' adaptor for the inlet hoses, it might even work with only the cold pipe connected.
Why convert it. Turn off the hot water line to the washer. its that simple./
blank off the hot output from the mains and then use a Y connector to provide cold water to the hot and cold inputs. The internal heating element will do the rest.

    I don't think you want to just blank off the hot into the machine, when drawing hot water it will suck against the blankng plate...maybe it'll cut out due to low pressure. I doubt if they are programmed to say ';ok, so the hot is low pressure, i'll use cold instead';
just hook up the cold side and turn the hot side off .

Auto car wash - under the car washing only?

At the Auto car wash, is there an option where i can request for under car wash only? i only want under the car to be spray wash, but not the whole car. i dont want the side, top to be touch by those spining machines at all cuz i know it leaves a mark/ swirls. i just want the under neath to be wash cuz of salts and from snows. thanks in advance for your replies.Auto car wash - under the car washing only?
I'm not sure that any car wash even offers just a chassy wash, but if your afraid of the swirls, marks or whatever, go to a brushless car wash and get the works. They use high pressure sprayers, but don't use any brushes or those green strips of material that actually touch your car.Auto car wash - under the car washing only?
find a touch less car wash.. I am sorry I don't have pictures.
You have to take it to a local car wash store where their are people to run car through it. Not the ones YOU drive through.

I have a local attended car wash and they allow me to just wash the undercarriage.

Hope this helps. None of your do it yourself stations only does undercarriage.
just get the best wash they have it has the underbody wash, and it should look good when its done! if not you need to find a good car wash. the air dryer at the end, drive very slow you should see a timer for how long it will stay on judge how slow you go by that.

What is better for your car, auto car wash or hand washing?

HAND WASHING IS ALWAYS BEST Its always best to hand wash than to use the damaging high pressure at a auto car wash.

High pressure is not always bad though. Its always a good thing to use the high pressure to wash the undercarrage of your car to remove salt and other debris from your car. Once in a while a fast run through is ok but not all the time. It dont get it nearly as clean as the old fasion hand bath and chammis dry. Looks a lot nicer. Once a year a good buff and wax never hurts either. Good luck,

Auto Car Wash? Has the spot-free rinse ever really worked for you?

It has never worked right for me. Always leaves spots of some kind.Auto Car Wash? Has the spot-free rinse ever really worked for you?
I never go through a machine wash, but the reason why spot-free rinse is rarely ever truly spot-free is because not all of the minerals and sediments (like calcium) aren't always completely filtered out of the water. Some wash venues even recycle their water.Auto Car Wash? Has the spot-free rinse ever really worked for you?
No, what is even worse is the ';Touchless'; car washes. I hate em.
Depends on where you go, with the help of the large vacuum to suck off the extra water is a big help.
Depends on the color of the car. I have a beige car and it never spots.
Now the song ';Workin' at the Car Wash'; is in my head.
i've had good success many times, but it's necessary to trial run the locations first, and then stay with the one that is efficient.
It has never worked for me! It always leaves faint but still very annoying spots.
I never look, I just do it and go. I know rain leaves spots, but it is FREE!!!

  • Does the ';Mr. Clean auto dry'; car wash work?

Just wondering if the Mr. Clean auto dry car wash kit you can buy from just about anywhere actually works? you know ';Spot free rinse without having to dry'; oh yeah and ';No water spots'; i got a black vehicle and would like to shave time on washing it where ever i can.Does the ';Mr. Clean auto dry'; car wash work?
I have tried it with my dad and we were both very amazed at how well it worked. Only thing is it does not dry as fast as they make it look like on TV. You have to do the wash and rinse and I pull it into the garage to minimize dust settling and it takes about an hour for it to completely dry on it's own.

Will using too much car wash shampoo damage the paint of my auto?

If the directions say to put one ounce per gallon but i put like half the bottle would it damage the paint on the body? It is a car wash concentrate with wash and waxWill using too much car wash shampoo damage the paint of my auto?
just dont let it dry on the carWill using too much car wash shampoo damage the paint of my auto?
Too much concentration will strip any wax you have on the paint. The wax that is included in the ';Wash and Wax'; isn't worth much for protection so yes, it is harmful. Remember, it isn't really benefiting you much to use higher concentration levels. One mostly unknown tip is that the actual water in the wash does 90% of the cleaning. The soap is mostly for surface lubrication to prevent scratches and swirls.
Since you have to rinse it off when you are done, it won't hurt. You are just wasting the stuff by pouring way more than needed into the mix.

Do you use a jet-wash and brush, auto roller wash, or do you hand-wash your car?

I really don't like using the brushes that are at petrol station jet-washes. I hand-wash and have done for 5 years but i'm getting tired of it. I can't use rollers beacause i have a spoiler and they seemingly cause scratches to paintwork.Do you use a jet-wash and brush, auto roller wash, or do you hand-wash your car?
    auto roller wash.

I'm to lazy to wash my car, and it's 4 years old now so the the paint protector is out of warranty etc, I just can't be bothered as I will change it in a year or 2. When I have the sureguard on it I only wash it myself.

the scratches on the car from the washing are not half as bad as the dinks from people banging my car with their doors.Do you use a jet-wash and brush, auto roller wash, or do you hand-wash your car?
I do not 'jet wash' after a BP garages' jet wash wand blew a piece of trim right off my car. Mostly i hand wash myself but now and then use a hand wash station set up by 4 enterprising local lads who rent the now unused premises' of a small garage where they have mains water supply etc on hand. The finish is well worth the 8 quid they charge me.
well hand-wash is good because you get everything you want cleaned.

and you know you did it right.

    its quality%26lt;3
i use the car wash with the brushes at the Supermarket...i'm too lazy to go out %26amp; wash it myself....my hubby does though...but he's mean!!
i always wash my car by hand as car washes can leave swill marks on the paint work

The auto car wash broke in the middle of the cycle i had to back out?

there is soap all over my car. the manager went home for the night so the girl could do nothing. i'm too tired to drive a few miles to the next nearest so i left it that way. will there be damage? my car is silver. The auto car wash broke in the middle of the cycle i had to back out?
If you leave the soapy water on your car, you could leave water stains on your paint. At the least, you should get a bucket of water and rinse off your car. If you have access to a hose, even better...hose down the car thoroughly and let it dry. You can bring it back to the same car wash tomorrow when the manager is there and have him finish the job.The auto car wash broke in the middle of the cycle i had to back out?
yes ,the soap defenitive spoil the paint.

    hose it out.
you,ll have to rewash it again, and its going to leave some real bad soap spots on it,if i was you i would have went to another car wash one that you use the wand with, and rinsed it off, you,ll probably not like what you see tomorrow though, and it will have to be washed again real good, maybe you,ll get lucky and get a good rain tonight,we all need that ,good luck with it.
    you are lazy
There could be. I would suggest that you at least find a hose and hose it off so that the soap doesn't sit on the paint surface and discolor it. I hope you got your money back or at least a couple of free car washes!
dried soap shouldnt hurt your car just have it washed and waxed again some where
DRIED SOAP COULD HURT THE FINISH BUT MOST NEWER CAR WASH USE SOFT WATER.

YOU SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST WASH IT OFF ON MATTER HOW TIRED YOU WERE.

REWASH AND WAX THE COMPLETE VEHICLE AND USE A VERY SOFT WAX AND NOT ANY TYPE OF HARD OR PASTE WAX.

    ';GOOD LUCK';

Is it possible for a sedan to get exterior damage while being in a auto car wash?

i misplaced the tire and wheel while i was trying to enter the car wash machine and i heard some sound of metal or rubber rubbing by the failure to insert the tire into the space that automatically moves my car set to neutral.. I dont know if it has made some damage on either my car's wheel or tire.. because after that I feel slight difference of acceleration and stepping on a pedal. plz tell me anything about the possibility. thanksIs it possible for a sedan to get exterior damage while being in a auto car wash?
worst case scenario, it might have bent the rim or some type of suspension linkage. take it to a shop and have them check out the steering and suspension. Is it possible for a sedan to get exterior damage while being in a auto car wash?
there is small possibility but the only way that you would truly know is have someone take a look at and make sure.
Learn how to drive into the car wash, first of all. Secondly, take it to the mechanic and have it checked out.

Can I wash my auto headlight covers or should I just buy new ones?

The covers are getting cloudy looking. Can I remove them to clean them? Or should I not bother and just buy new ones? Can I wash my auto headlight covers or should I just buy new ones?
I work at an Auto Shop. We sell and for customers we clean headlights. So you know, most places won't.

So I'm guessing your headlight lenses are yellow and barely shine. That's common with older cars.

    Reasons for happening:

    Water in headlight assembly

    Bad seal and dirt cakes

There's a pack you can buy, and it's much cheaper then buying new headlights. The pack comes with a complete cleaning kit and everything to bring the shine out of the light.

You can pick one of the kits up at NAPA auto parts. I know they have them. If there isn't one around you, try Autozone, or Advance Auto Parts.

Hope I helped. Any other questions, let me know. Can I wash my auto headlight covers or should I just buy new ones?
Usually the cloudiness is on the outside. There are kits for refinishing them sold in car parts stores, but I use Brasso metal polish because it's cheaper. Basically the surface has become oxidized and pitted. You can buff that off and polish it to crystal clarity with a bit of work. A new one will cost you an arm and a leg. You want to know why the lens gets fuzzy? All the dirt in the air for miles and miles wears away at it as you drive and sunlight burns it.
This is a very common problem with today's plastic headlights. Just get a damp rag and some light polishing compound (you can get it at wallmart) and buff them out yourself for less than 5 bucks. We do it everyday here in my shop to get cars to pass state inspection and it works very well.
Go to NAPA auto parts and they sell a polishing kit made by 3-M to polish the headlight covers, it's usually always on the outside that they get messed up.
is the cloudiness on the inside or outside?

do you really care that much?

new ones are expensive and i doubt yours even come apart
    Get New ones.

Do I stay in the car during auto car wash?

I want to try the auto car wash at some gas station today. I wonder if I should stay in the car. Thank you.Do I stay in the car during auto car wash?
Yes and roll up the windows firstDo I stay in the car during auto car wash?
There are some full service car washes. That means the attendants would clean the interior of the car, the mats and vacuum the carpet. They would also drive your car in the car washing machine. If this is the service they are providing, you do not have to be in the car. If it is not a full service, that means they only wash the exterior of the car, then you have to be in the car. Make sure you put you transmission to neutral.
I suppose if you knew for certain when the car wash was going to start, you could get out. I think it's safest for you and your car to remain in the vehicle. It could start at any time, injuring you or damaging an open door on your car.
You need to ask the attendant at the station.

Given the damage potential I would stick with full service car washes
    Are you scared or something?

Just roll up the windows, drive in, and let the machine do the work.

Can you take a convertible through an auto car wash?

I have a Mister Car wash pass and I just bought an Audi Convertible want to know if the car wash does damage to the top. What would u do?Can you take a convertible through an auto car wash?
don't take your convertible or any car to an auto car wash.

    wash it yourself

they scratch and damage the paint.

and yes your top will leak sooner or later

don't speed up the process by using a car wash. Can you take a convertible through an auto car wash?
Yes, many people drive their car through the car wash. It shouldn't hurt anything but be prepared that you might get water leaking in past the weatherstrips. If they have one of those super high speed blowers at the end to dry off your car, it is too strong of a wind for the weatherstrips to seal off the water from coming in. I know, I used to work in the dealership service department and people used to bring their convertible cars in saying they leak when they go through the car wash. The cars are designed to seal off water from rain but it's not under high pressure like the car wash water is.
Just make sure they see that it's a convertible coming in. They'll hit the control to lift the brush that usually does they top so there won't be any damage. If it's a unit without an attendant I wouldn't use it unless it has a provision on the control panel for convertibles.
I wouldn't be as concerned about the wash part as I would about going under the giant blow dryer at the end......
i never had any convertible tops damaged in car washes.
I would keep the top up.
I wouldn't think so, it gets rained on doesn't it?

What is the downside of washing my car in a brushless auto car wash and hand waxing it afterwards?

I hand washed my car for 7 yrs and when I traded it in it wasn't worth anymore than a car that was auto washed. But what downside is there? What is the downside of washing my car in a brushless auto car wash and hand waxing it afterwards?
no down side except for more work.Dealers look at the book value of a car when it's traded they don't care how it's washed if they have to when they get them in they buff them.

How often shuold i wash my car.and is simoniz a good auto washing soup?

My car is new and i dont really drive hard everywhere so it doesnt get much dirty. I was just wondering to maintain the car shine and my car looking nice how often should i be washing my car? also is simoniz a good car washing soap? or should i go with another brand?

Thanks in advance. Your answers will be very much appreciated. How often shuold i wash my car.and is simoniz a good auto washing soup?
How much you wash the car depends on several factors, such as is it in the garage all the time, do you live next to the water, is it exposed to lots of wind and dust, etc. As you read on, there are products in the catalogue I mentioned that serve as a minor car wash in-between full washes. But the simple answer, is that I wash my car once a week, with only cotton towels or diapers, as other fabrics, can scratch the paint.

I am very much a car buff and have detailed my cars for more than 20 years, and have found the most wonderful company, with very high quality products for every part of your car. I can't say enough good things about this company, and they ship most products to anywhere in the world.

The name of the company is Griot's Garage, car care products for the perfectionist, which is definately me!

You can check them out on the website, and then even have a car care guide that you can download, although they sell it with laminated pages so you don't ruin it when detailing your car.

Their web address is www.griotsgarage.com and their toll free phone number, where you can call and ask any question you want, and they take the time necessary until you get it, is 800-345-5789.

If they ask how you found out about them, just tell them customer number 623830.

To answer your first question, no, I don't like the product you mentioned.

Perfect time to ask this question as it is a new car and getting the right products on the car to protect it will make your car very happy. Hope this helps and good luck! How often shuold i wash my car.and is simoniz a good auto washing soup?
I like Meguires products. As far as consumer grade stuff goes, thier stuff is the best.

\There are some other really high end products like Klasse and Pinnacle Souvrain (ex: P21S) , but they are hard to find, and very expensive.

You can check out the site i posted below for some great info about detailing a car.
